Ex- Physician Charged with Assault Charges Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care

Legal authorities have announced that a ex- physician now faces charges for carrying out assaults against 38 victims who were patients.

Details of the Serious Allegations

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.

Scope of the Police Inquiry

These allegations come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

  • Fifteen counts of assault.
