Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage includes live text of the weekend matchups via various channels, starting with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, audio coverage is available on designated networks covering a separate game (from 21:00 BST).

We're in the sixth week in the football calendar , after last week's discussion about two top teams as possible championship contenders, each surrendered their perfect starts.

Striking during those contests was the number of infractions each conceded. The Eagles committed them in key moments so they kind of beat themselves after leading by two touchdowns going into the fourth period against Denver, set to play in London this Sunday.

But it was good to observe how Denver's QB Bo Nix was able to have the shortfall before lead three scoring drives in three attempts in the fourth quarter, securing the game by four points.

Denver boast the defensive player of the year in cornerback their star corner. They rank number one in goal-line defense, while Philadelphia are number one in scoring near the end zone, and Denver won that contest.

They executed the Eagles' number regarding simulated pressure. They weren't necessarily rushing more than four pass rushers but they could plug two LBs in the interior before drop them out and send a slot defender off the edge.

Early on in the campaign, we said on a program that the Broncos could be this season's dark horses. They finished the previous year well then did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this year's dark horses?

New tight end their tight end has stepped up big and new running back JK Dobbins is a player they believe in. He now ranks 5th in the NFL in ground gains (402) and tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

I love that the coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUSH!" prominently on his call sheet.

That shows that Denver are a squad that wants to prioritize the run, because one can do a lot off the back of that. It reduces down the pass rush and keeps you in positive down and distances.

It's also benefited QB the young passer, who entered the NFL as a first-round selection last year, throwing 29 TDs – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert possess powerful arms to pass all over, however they don't move in the same way that Nix has. He boasts exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, plus he's so athletic.

His assets include his mobility, being able to throw while moving, and finding varied release points to make the pass when he rolls outside protection, the bootlegs. He is able to deliver that layered pass over the middle or over the corner.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he's got great composure under pressure and is not bothered by the blitz. He aims to avoid being tackled as much as possible and is able throw in tight spots. He possesses a high football IQ and is very decisive.

When you consistently rush it eats up time and forces the opponent to be in play for longer, and when you've got a mobile QB the defence must cover the field vertically side to side. This proves draining.

Nix has bitten back at Payton during games sometimes and it seems the coach likes that attitude, seeing him as a fierce rival. In my view it's exciting for him to have a young quarterback who's similar to play-dough. The coach can truly build something up how he wants to shape him. I think it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

The head coach has won a championship and has passed a legend for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He's seen it all. In my opinion the achievements the Broncos are having on offence is mostly due to his guidance, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the pairing with the QB helps shape him into who he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to assist you through difficult moments and build confidence.

I believe in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But is the team good enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles in their last game.

Right now, I don't think Denver are elite. They're performing better than most, that's a solid position to hold the AFC West. The key to do to continue this trajectory.

They're really good at leaning into their strength, which is running the ball, and that's precisely what they must do versus the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, essentially.

The Jets have surrendered 140 rushing yards each contest (sixth worst), five ground scores this season (10th worst), and they are the sole squad yet to win a game.

Since the NFL began tracking takeaways decades ago, this team are also the first team to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising considering that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator with another team.

Patrick Mahomes stated the Chiefs are off to a poor start after Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.

After the upcoming matchup, the Broncos face a manageable slate until their break (in week 12) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus the Raiders before the Chiefs.

Looking at their division, the Chiefs hold a losing record and the Broncos are even with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 so they could make a run at leading the division.

It depends upon what version of the Chiefs they face since Denver {beat|def
