Iran Claims Attack on American Facility in Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Counterattacks.

Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a large-scale and ongoing offensive against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Regional Interceptions

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - said they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.

That initial attack - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on areas linked to the the regime, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

Regional Fallout

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israeli military stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the projectiles with high efficiency and destroyed a series of missiles," the statement continued.

It said wreckage landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some material damage and fatalities.

The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
