Previous BBC Specialists Face MPs' Inquiry Following Claims of Bias in Disclosed Memorandum

Ex- BBC consultants testifying at MPs

We open with questions from Tory Member of Parliament the panel's head, who leads the panel.

She initiates by offering details to the unauthorized memo written by Michael Prescott and published in the Telegraph.

"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation slanting in any particular direction, I simply desire it balanced, fair and just," he states.

Upon being questioned whether he thinks the British Broadcasting Corporation is institutionally biased, the adviser answers: "Absolutely not. Let's be clear, tons of stuff the British Broadcasting Corporation produces is top-tier - both documentary and entertainment content."

But he adds: "There is real work that needs to be done at the BBC."

Another ex-adviser British Broadcasting Corporation adviser interviewed by the panel, Caroline Daniel, remarks she views the BBC with great importance and that it has a "continuous process and vigorous discourse" on fluid and multifaceted issues.

"Whether the BBC was willing to engage in a genuine dialogue and argument and take action?" she reflects. "From my perspective, affirmative, they were."
